Why Aren't Services for These Populations Provided?
The Family Nurse Practitioner is trained to care for acute and chronic disease processes from gestation until death, this does not include some forms of psychiatric illness. A telemedicine-exclusive practice cannot include an in-person evaluation and testing considerations for opioid/benzo/stimulant services. We DO Provide Treatment for:
- Depression/Anxiety
- Specialist Referral (Specialty Physicians, Physical/Occupational/Speech Therapy, Radiological/Lab Services)
- Acute Illness/Sick Exposure (Including School/Work Notes)
- Heart/Lung Diagnoses (Hypertension, POTS, Heart Failure)
- Urological/Kidney/Gastrointestinal Diagnoses (UTI, CKD, IBS, Crohn's, GI infection/distress)
- Endocrine Diagnoses (Diabetes, Hypo/Hyperthyroidism, Adrenal Dysfunction)
- Musculoskeletal/Dermatological Diagnoses (Ehlers-Danlos, Acne, Fractures/Sprains)
